I have always been in love with “The New Fall TV Season”, I would get so excited when the T.V .guide would feature the new shows, with their glossy pictures and previews. My sisters and I would decide which ones were worth watching (The Cosby Show, Miami Vice, 90210).
So in honor of the new season and this contest, What T.V .show can you NOT live with out?

So here I sit, sweltering in this miserable heat, while Dee is enjoying 68 degree weather in Maine. 68 degrees -- can you imagine? At this point I would be thrilled with 80 degree weather! But I do realize that my summer is already over, and that fall will be here before we know it, and with comes my last semester as a Clemson student. It's so funny to think that I started working for Dee at 16, and now I'm four months away from college graduation. Time is a scary thing. Part of me wants to stay in this sweet little studio and play with Dee's beads forever. I guess I'll just have to visit all the time and buy lots of Dee's gorgeous jewelry to remind myself of my time here (just what I need, another excuse to shop!). I wish everyone a wonderful start to a new school year. And Dee, you know I already miss you!

Yes! To the one person reading this I am officially part of the blogging world. Every Sunday. That is right people, on Sundays while the rest of the world in watching football on their 52 inch televeisons I will be here. Jumping into the season (already!)

I am back from my glorious Maine vacation and now I am vowing to be more organized! I promise to get it together in time!! Everyone looks at me like I am crazy when I say 150 days until Christmas, but then again they are not one Santa's elves!! Pretty sure this is why god made me so short, so that I could fit into this role properly!! I have alot going on-a new TV placement with a show called White Collar, thanks to the busy girls at Luprocks! I will update with pictures. I have a killer show coming up in September with the girls from the MUSC children's hospital, they are some of my best customers! I will be painting my window again for the Susan G. Komen "Paint the Low country Pink" Contest. This year it is in honor of my friend Jen Roark! I am trying to get it together to teach some classes at Camp Happy Days, a camp for children fighting cancer and other terminal diseases. I also want to put together a little collaboration show for some local designers on the Red Drum patio. If you are a local designer and you are reading this give me a shout!! Back to work. Holy Cow.

Once again, I have been a horrible blogger! I have had two consecutive days off in a row and I am now ready to work, be inspired and accessorize all of Charleston! On a another note I have started pilates at Pilates of Charleston and my butt is getting kicked!! I promise to blog more soon...if anyone is listening!

the ocean is love

I have been a very bad blogger of late. The weather is killer and I should be making some yummy jewels but I just want my toes in the sand. I want to feel and taste the saltwater on my skin. I want to be one with the ocean. I am a little homesick as well and looking forward to putting a show or two together while I am home! Somewhere exotic in Jan. but for now home is where I need to be.

Charleston Fashion Week

Charleston Fashion Week is upon us and I am totally stoked to see my designs on the runway on Thursday night. I am going to be part of the "Seeking Indigo" line, kinda hippy, natural and exotic totally up my alley as far as jewerly design goes!

WOW! I couldn't pick one so I have two winners Barbara Rivers and Margaret Vest, come get your earrings ladies and thank you for making me see things in a different light! I could not believe how many great responses that I received. Everyone is inspired by their children and this makes me realize that I am missing something greater in life.I love that Grace is inspired by smells, Terri by digging through fabrics - that was a good one. Alyssa's response to the new President and the JCrew catalog was awesome. Elizabeth sent me a video about this dog and elephant that were real life best friends. Jena made me miss home and totally inspired me with the talk of buoys and fog, and the prospect of her new business. Laura being inspired by her grandmother. I think we a should all be inspired by our grandmothers! I also really loved Pam's response to Dancing. I am so happy everyone responded so candidly! Thanks girls, I so needed this!

I need your help and I am willing to bribe you with a pair of really cute earrings for it. I am generally inspired by the colors in nature, by the ocean and by traveling. It has been dreary here in Charleston for at least 4 days and is sucking the creativity out of my soul. I think this must be why I learned my craft on the naturally beautiful island of Maui.

Some of my goals this year were to be more organized, get one national editorial placement and one TV show/movie. Yea! So last night I was going into the grocery store and who calls me? 90210 to tell me they love the jewelry I sent and will be using all 3 pieces!! First of all I can not believe that someone from a national TV show actually called me but is also going to use my designs!This makes me very happy and it is not all about the Benjamin's...On another note it is dreary and cold here today in Charleston. Must get on the table to make some jewels and watch last nights episode of the Bachelor!1

I have just realized that I am very bad at this whole blog thing but I really want to make it work so bear with me!! I had a great holiday season here at the store with over 3500 christmas cards made by hand and tons of jewelry made and sold!! Can you believe! I am excited about the new year and working on brides, weddings and bridesmaid jewelry. Weddings are a big business in Charleston and my fav. thing to create is beautiful wedding jewelry.I ready to be inspired in the new year (did I mention I need a vacation to usually make this happen!)

I am super excited about the trunk show at the Sitting Room this weekend! Should be a great turnout. Really nothing better than wine and shopping on a Saturday afternoon in the low country! I am ready for Christmas and have hit the ground running! Christmas cards, Party Invitations and gifts have been flooding in! yea!!!

I am so excited that fall and Christmas season is almost upon me! I have lots of shows planned and I will keep you all up to date! This week Margaret Vest is painting my window for the "Paint the Lowcountry Pink" window contest. This is to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This was my last years entry. I did love my breast cancer mermaid!
